Biography

Sophie has approached the development of her creative work in an individual and insightful way exploring pertinent and exciting artists. Her growth as an artist during the A Level course has been exciting to watch. A highly thoughtful student, her creative references inspire her decisions, and give her own artistic practice greater depth. Sophie is fiercely independent exploring materials and ideas in an experiential way.

She has shown she can successfully use a range of materials to realise her intentions, most recently working on sculptural pieces that depict her interpretation of the theme ‘Inside, Outside, In-between’. Working in her designated art space Sophie has been fully immersed in her creative practice. She has dedicated many additional hours to resolving aesthetic problems, always enjoying the possible challenges and decisions she might have to make.
