At Sutton 6th form students can choose to study:
- A Level Fine Art

- A Level photography
Successful A level students go on to study on a range of Art & Design foundation and degree courses, and train in their area of specialisation, before going on to become Artists, Designers, Architects, Engineers or Arts Professional in a broad variety of specialist areas.
All around us artists and designers create the world we inhabit, and contribute to a thriving and important industry which has a vast range of exciting career options and choices. These can include working in Fine Art, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or Architecture, for example, as well as many other possible creative Art & Design jobs and careers.
A strong art and design training helps develop transferable skills, including creative ideas development, problem-solving, contextual interpretation, and visual communication, as well as organisational, presentation, and team-working skills.
A Level Art
A level art allows you to develop an exciting and extensive range of creative and technical skills. Students gain a strong understanding of historic and contemporary visual art practice. Unique to studying Art at A Level, you build up a very personal and continually evolving body of practical work. Art at Sutton High aims to create an exciting, creative and contemporary learning experience that engages and inspires creativity.
We want to engage people to think critically about the world and realise that Art is more than just the final piece. We aim to give students the opportunity to find their own creative voice.
The Art Team at Sutton High are really experienced in a range of creative specialisms. These specialisms include Fine Art Painting, Digital Media and Graphic Design, Ceramics and Print-Making.
