Biography

As a young artist I feel the need to have control over the work I create and expressing the essence of control through boundaries, formulas and systems, enables me to exploit the freedom of the unexpected. I see myself within my artwork and it represents how my brain works, in a methodical and systematic way. This freedom within a system led me to observe the systematic approach behind films and interpret this in my own way, representing a current subject of Covid-19. We are able to observe the juxtaposition between the youth culture and corona, the rave images are a reflection of the freedoms that we once had and which Covid has taken away from us. There is a meeting of two very different systems: the rave which is free and limitless, and the virus which restricts any type of freedom. There is a duality between the two. The joining of kinetic energy, movements and sounds have made a narrative unfold and the addition of the lockdown on society had enabled limitation to lead to greater creativity through the collapse of the normal systems and the creation of a reform for new and potentially improved systems.
