Biography

As an artist, I see myself as a visual observer and creating a link between realism and surrealism with the idea of human psychology to communicate the ideas of consciousness and dreams in art. The dollhouse construction symbolize the structure of the humans brain and show how the function of the synaptic system is inputting the concept of the alternation of the dream theory. Creation in film production to produce a Physical art performance which gives a visual language to demonstrate a ‘dreamlike’ state for the viewer to experience the idea of being connected between the dream world and the reality.

According to a dream theory, dreaming is a process by which the brain obtains the information of event that happened during the day and clears up any useless information to avoid confusion with the memory storage inside the brain cells. The dollhouse construction symbolizes the structure of the humans brain and shows how the function of the synaptic system of inputting the concept of the alternation of the dream theory, by creating a disturbing atmosphere with an unorganized movement but still arranged in an organized way. The thread intertwined through and between the doll house structure. The contrasting black and white colours describe the different feelings of human concern - to show an attitude between consciousness and dream. The feeling of claustrophobia within the black house and the sense of escaping and freedom of being released and moving away from the white house. 

The film portraits two characters, the blind-folded figure is the active figure that is inside the dream and explores different events that happen during the lucid dream whereas the figure without a blindfold is the owner the dream, who is in the deep sleep and exists in the real world. The figure inside the dream is stuck inside an empty bedroom full of strings trapping in the figure, who wanted to escape from this room. The result transforms the theme dream and reality which creates a threat of uncertainty as to whether they are living in the dream world or the reality word or both at the same time.
